Seeking Musicians for 6​/27/26 wedding

Hello, 

We are seeking a string trio or duo to play at our wedding ceremony and the following cocktail hour. The wedding will be in Minneapolis on 6/27/26 and (hopefully) the ceremony and cocktail hour will both be outside. We are seeking musicians who can be available from 4:30pm to 6:45pm

Wedding Ceremony 9/21/25 - String Quartet or Trio

We are seeking a string quartet or trio or duo or possibly some string instruments with a piano to play our wedding ceremony. We would request music start around 30 minutes before at 12:30 and the ceremony only will last 30 minutes. Then play our first dance right after the ceremony and a few songs following that as guests head to cocktail hour. It will be outside at the St Paul College Club on Sunday 9/21/2025, weather permitting! Pay is negotiable!

We are thinking of covers of alternative or pop songs for the ceremony something like the artist sleeping at last.

University of Minnesota Student Union Activities is seeking student solo performers or groups (up to 3) to perform for the following:

Details

• Performers are granted a 5-10 minute break after the first hour.
• Music stands and chairs will be provided by Student Union Activities.
• Students are responsible for bringing a keyboard if needed.
• Electric outputs are available in all gallery locations.
• Pay is $30/hr for undergraduate students, $35/hr for graduate students.

Musicians for Wedding Ceremony: Saturday May 17, 2025

I would like to hire a string duo, trio, or quartet for my wedding ceremony on May 17, 2025 at Woodland Glasshaus in Chaska on the Bavaria Downs property from 4:30-5:30pm. It is fully indoors! Because I am not set on the size of the ensemble, the pay can be discussed via email. Parking is free onsite. 

As for the type of music, I am flexible though we'd probably want to stick to classics or pop covers. I'd be happy to pay for sheet music (or anything like that) if there are pieces we discuss that you would be willing to learn/play. My future husband and I met as undergrads at UMN and would love to involve UMN students!

Musicians for Wedding Ceremony: Saturday May 23, 2026

I would like to hire a string duo, trio, quartet, or solo cellist for my wedding ceremony on May 23, 2026 at the Landmark Center in St Paul from ~4:30-6:00pm. It is fully indoors. Because I am not set on the size of the ensemble, the pay can be discussed via email. The Landmark Center only has street or garage parking, which I would pay for. As for the type of music, I am open to whatever your preference/speciality is, I'm positive it will be lovely. I'd be happy to pay for sheet music (or anything like that) if there are pieces we discuss that you would be willing to learn/play. I played the cello growing up and now work for the UMN, it would bring me so much joy to hire UMN undergrad or grad musicians looking for paid opportunities like this.

Rehearsal: Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Call Times: 

Sunday, April 20 at 7:00 a.m. for first service; 

8:45 for second service

Substitute String Lesson and Orchestra teachers - Blake School

The Blake School is seeking substitute string lesson teachers and substitute orchestra teachers.

The Blake School in Hopkins, MN has a rich tradition of providing excellent string instruction, with students ranging from PK to grade 12. Group lesson instruction is provided for Grades 1-3 and Large group/Orchestra-ensemble instruction is provided for Grades 4-12. Blake is looking for Music Education graduate string students who are interested in substitute teaching for our program. Bachelor's Degree required.

Details:

• $20 an hour, paid in either 4 hour or 8 hour increments
• Experience/interest working with students in PK-5 for small group lessons
• Experience/interest working with students in Gr. 4-12 conducting grade-level orchestra
