🎸 Guitarist/Vocalist Wanted – Minneapolis Central Corps

The Salvation Army – Minneapolis Central Corps (2727 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418) is seeking a guitar player/vocalist to provide music support for worship and teaching.

Details:
  • Sundays (10:30 AM – 12:00 PM): Provide guitar/vocal music for worship services
  • Pay: $50 per Sunday
  • Wednesdays (5:45 – 6:10 PM): Teach guitar and/or choir
  • Pay: $50 per call
  • Total Weekly Pay: $100
  • Additional opportunities may be available for rehearsals and special events (paid separately).
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus!

Looking for instructors to teach piano, guitar or ukulele for the 2025 – 2026 academic year.

Job Overview
Provide weekly, thirty-minute lessons in a one-on-one format to students in grades 1-12 at a classroom in the Bloomington and Edina Public School Districts. Teachers coordinate with parents and after-school staff to provide excellent instruction while ensuring student safety. Ideal candidates have a passion for teaching music and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide weekly music instruction to students in grades 1-12
  • Maintain attendance records
  • Coordinate with site staff to ensure student safety
  • Regular communication with lesson coordinator and parents
  • Prepare program material for student recitals


Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates should have a strong background in music including formal study either with a private instructor or at an accredited institution.
  • Candidates who are pursuing or have completed a degree in music will be given special consideration
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ideal candidates have a passion for teaching and are comfortable providing instruction to students of varying ages and ability levels
  • All candidates must have excellent communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
  • All candidates undergo background checks every three years

Seeking after-school music teachers for St. Paul students

St. Paul Public Scools is looking for licensed music teachers and non-licensed music instructors for our EDL (Extended Day Learning) Music Program. SPPS offers instruction for instruments traditionally found in band and orchestra, as well as piano, guitar, ukulele, digital music and/or choir at select schools.

Music instruction is offered two days a week (either M/W or T/TH) at all elementary schools. Teachers could teach between 5-20 hours per week depending on availability and interest. Based on a school's start time, hours may be from 2:00-4:00 or 4:00-6:00. Teachers/instructors are paid for a total of 2.5 hours per school per day which includes a 30 minute prep.

EDL Music runs from October 21 through May 22 at most sites.  Licensed teachers are paid $30.00/hour, and non-licensed instructors are paid $25.00/hour.
