Needed: Piano Teacher to take over studio beginning May/June

Hi! I am a private, “traveling" piano teacher based in the Plymouth/Medina/Maple Grove area who is looking to take a break from teaching. I currently have about 24 students, but I don’t think all of them are going to stay. I would plan on 10-15 students in the fall, in addition to 2 families on a wait list that I don’t have room for, but you might. Does anyone need more students/want to take over my studio?

The students range from 4.5years old to 14 years old, with the majority being between 8-11. Several students are sibling sets. I have a few students who like to participate in the Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA) Piano Solo Contest, and take the exams. Several of them are performance driven. I can give you more information about that if you’re interested.

Location: In student homes, mostly Plymouth/Medina/Maple Grove area, with some students in Hopkins and Minnetonka. Almost all of these students prefer teachers come to them rather than going to the teacher for various reasons, but if pushed, they would probably transition to going to a teacher.

Method series: Almost all of my students are in varying stages of the Faber Method Series. I do supplement with solos from MMTA contest lists, or other fun solos as requested by the students- usually pop or video game music. I also have a few intermediate students who are doing standard rep out of the Essential Repertoire series, the Applause series, and the Masterworks with Flair series.

Thanks for your consideration! Please email me at 10fingersand88keys@gmail.com if you’re interested. I’d love to have a few more contacts for my students when I stop lessons!
