Teaching Artist Opportunity for Students/Graduates

Youth Performance Company (YPC) is a small, non-profit theatre company in St. Paul with a mission to empower youth and inspire social change through BOLD theatre. We do this through year-long educational theatre classes and mainstage productions throughout the school year. 

We are hiring Teaching Artists for our fall theatre classes and are looking for enthusiastic and energetic artists who can teach music and provide vocal training for students grades 3+. Piano skills are preferred. Pay is $35/Hour. Below are our fall class offerings for reference:

Grades 3-5
  • Musicals 101  
  • Step into the spotlight in this fun and engaging class for young performers! Students will explore the world of musical theatre while learning songs, dances, and scenes from beloved Broadway and movie musicals. With a focus on building confidence, teamwork, and stage presence; this class is perfect for beginners and budding stars alike!
  • Saturdays, October 25 - November 15, 2025
  • Time: 10:45am-12:15pm 
Grades 6-8
  • Musical Theatre Intensive: Broadway 2K
  • Take center stage in this musical theatre intensive featuring songs and dances from hit musicals of the 2000s! Using musicals like Wicked, Hamilton, Mean Girls, and Hadestown, students will learn choreography and vocal technique inspired by these modern Broadway favorites. Designed for passionate performers ready to level up their skills, this intensive ends with a show-stopping performance that brings the best of 21st-century Broadway to life!
  • Saturdays, October 25 - November 15, 2025
  • Time: 1:15pm-2:45pm
Grades 6+
  • Private Coaching (Vocal and/or Acting)
  • Looking to land a role in your school’s musical? Prepping for a big audition? Ready to expand your singing and acting skills? Look no further! Students will receive 4 individualized sessions with a professional vocal/acting coach. Sessions will be tailored to fit the students wants/needs along with suggestions and support from their coach. Learn, grow, and excel with a class that gives individualized attention to you or your student!
  • Time: Four 60-minute sessions between Oct 20-Nov 15. Scheduling will be determined by student and coach availability.
