New City Church, a community led mostly by queer people of color, is looking for a vocalist/instrumentalist interested in leading a transformative worship experience on Sundays at 11:30am.
Lead Worship
Select powerful, inclusive, theologically-grounded worship songs to lead a community in spiritual transformation
Engage volunteer musicians in the community by providing opportunities to join you in leading worship. Leading a weekly rehearsal, as well as pre-worship setup and takedown, is expected.
Collaborate with New City staff to change the world
Influence New City’s mission and direction by participating in our staff meetings
Coordinate volunteer musicians, create lyric slides, fill out a simple CCLI report of songs played (so artists get paid), and other administration. It is possible to parcel out this administration to volunteers, but you will be ultimately responsible that things are running.
Compensation
This position is 10 hrs/wk, starting at $22.49/hr, with opportunities to grow in the position. We want to make this work for the right candidate, so please be in touch with us if you are looking for a different arrangement!
